CO2 Drying / Purification

In the process of CO2 drying/purification, any residual humidity and possible residues of the MEA solution contained in the CO2 gas are eliminated. This is ensured by a KMnO4 filter (for MEA removal) as well as by further filters which are filled with a special activated charcoal compound.

During drying, BUSE guarantees that pressure dew points of -50°C are achieved, which is of crucial importance for the following processes of ultra-fine purification and liquefaction, and consequently for the quality of the final product.A dew point-measuring device is included as part of the standard product contents.

The BUSE standard provides tanks made of normal steel, and the drier inlet is made of stainless steel. As an option, the unit is also available made entirely of stainless steel.
